1996 Dash removal
so i decided i am going to take the dash out to fix a few things and repaint it....... this is what leads me to my question...
how the hell do you remove the damn thing?
I have taken out every nut and screw i can find, even ones hidden behind the radio and i can see 2 more behind the instrument panel (need to figure out how to take that out as well).
anyone with thoughts, pics, funny comebacks?

To remove the bezel covering the instrument panel, you need to pop off the two long thin horizontal trim pieces on either side of the steering wheel. That reveals two screws that must be removed to remove the dash bezel.

What about removing JUST the powerpoint? (the cig-lighter plug in to the left of the ashtray)? It looks like this unit pops out on its own somehow but I don't want to break it. Mine is not working. I tried a new fuse but no go. The one in the ashtray works, I was thinking of swapping them or swapping the wires...
