I suck my HPOP.. it only takes a few minutes.. I just don't like to leave that extra quart of dirty oil in the system.. My next project is figure out how to suck the oil cooler.. Do any of you guys out there do that ?
would the oil cooler not drain when the engine is turned off? when I re-sealed my oil cooler there was not a lot of oil that came out during removal, upon inspection of the cooler passages itself, I saw no gunk or contaminents, and this was after running it for 300K miles.

It's a lot of reading, but a lot of information, too.

thanks Pop.... no more Fram for me.... I had no idea. Makes me want to change my oil tonight and give my baby a wash and wax and to tell her I am sorry for giving her a bad filter.

Quick question and it applies to the thread at hand. Is there a difference between the motorcraft filters bought at Wally world vs buying one somewhere else?

I think a MOTORCRAFT FL-1995 is the same anywhere you may buy it, its most easily accessable at Wally World for under 10 bucks!!
