Bet my truck is cleaner than your truck!

(At least my interior!)

My truck prior to me owning it was a no AC truck. It lived in the desert and I can only assume the windows were wide open all the time. (I put in factory AC since owning it)

I started off wanting to do something about the faint dusty smell.

I pulled out everything but the main body of the dash. (cluster had already been cleaned and replaced as had the glovebox.

Turns out everything was full of dust:

A good washing out and vacuuming the residual water and it started looking like this (I'm planning on priming the scuffed areas where there was some wear, then shooting the floor, back wall, and B pillars with lizardskin):

I also used a sound damping material on the roof to cut down on noise:

I also washed all the interior components:

I will add pictures tomorrow, but I fully disassembled the seat, washed the frame, and fabric.

This thing probably hasn't been this clean since the day it was first bought!

Pretty awesome work so far. Reminds me of day's past when I used to fix up old Mustangs. I'm sure my truck's got some dried gummy bears, old french fries and other goodies deep down under the seats and carpet.

After pressure washing the bench fabric, I hung the back portion over my cart and put a fan facing upward under one end. The airflow up across then out the other side dried it out pretty well overnight.

I read the title i though you were going to have the truck in a lake with a boat still hooked to it. but that is one way to clean you truck.

It's Dynamat type stuff, but far cheaper and got a lot more of it. Going to line chunks of my 65 Mustang with it. Can't remember the name of it offhand.
