Is it pipe threads on the IPR?

I'm not sure if I should use some thread locker when I reassemble it. It doesn't' say on New Page 0

Mine looked like it had thread locker on it when I tore it apart.

just so everyone isnt' confused.
i'm talking about the IPR itself, not putting the IPR in the truck.

Dont trust on me, but I dont think so.

 

53 lb - in is the torque spec on the IPR. Just snug the tin nut to keep the solenoid in place.

 

If it is a taper, get it tight & let it go at that ..

Never heard of any one using lock tight...
