Max air not working

Max air not working
I somebody can help. I have a 2006 f250 crew cab. I got in it today and when I pushed the max air button i heard a small pop and what sounded like something fell behind my glove box. I still get cold air but the max ( recirculate) does not work. I know the air box is behind the glove box but I need a little direction as to what i need to look for. Thanks for any help
