Anyone know the Rancho model line/number or what the roughly equivalent Rancho model number is for the shocks that come with the factory "FX4 Off-Road" package for the 2003 F-250 SD? I'm trying to figure budget for the 4X4 XLT SuperCab SB I'm ordering, and whether I might need to replace the shocks with something better such as adjustable Rancho 9000X or Bilsteins, etc.
I've heard different things regarding the shocks on the FX4 package.
I had a guy at a suspension shop tell me that they aren't even really Rancho shocks, that they are Motorcraft shocks with Rancho stickers (doesn't sound right, but oh well).
I've had someone else tell me that they are the equivelant to the Rancho RSX shocks...
I'm sure someone else on here might have a more definite answer...
I put the RS9000 adjustable shocks on mine, and they are great...Also replaced the stock steering stabilizer with the Rancho 5000 series..
