you might also have a cop thats going weak on ya.

but replacing all 8 boots is the first thing i'd do if your certain all your connections are otherwise tighened properly.

cheap insurance.

Well the truck now runs the way it should when we jump start it the security system is F ing it up again so my brothers trying to slowly and carefully rip it out.

huh, interesting... i wouldn't think that a security system would be capable of causing those symptoms.

Security system isn't causing it the boot was but the Security system won't let the truck turn on right now no power gets to the Starter so we have to jump it manually via a wire but once you do that the truck runs great. The owner before (who was Mexican) getto rigged the crap out of this truck put a cheap a** security system in.

Thank goodness I looked over the forums before diving into this project! Learned a few new things the past couple days. I've got a 2003 SD with the 5.4 with almost 110,000 miles and the thought of breaking a plug off sends chills up my spine =/

Gonna pick up a bottle of the Marvel Mystery oil and run in a tank of gas, also grab a new set of boots just for good measure. Appreciate it fellas
