I have had the edge juice with attitude and recently just got the sct x-cal 3 (which is wwaayyyy better by the way!). Is there any way i can keep the monitor hooked up without the programmer being functional? this thing is a piece of jusk, but i would like to keep the monitor. I believe my factory boost gauge is t'eed into it cuz its not showing any boost and i keep throwing the p0237 code which is low boost......
IIRC you can turn the juice module to stock/zero and use it for gauges. Check the map sensor line running from the passenger side intake to the MAP sensor on top of the heater/ac box about 4" from the oil fill tube. The code specifically references a shorted wire or a defective MAP sensor so the PCM may be using an inferred boost parameter to control the turbo. Very easy to change and relatively cheap--about $36 plus shipping.
Well i think that the edge programmer is messing it up. The reason i say that is because i just unhooked all this earlier today (edge to sct) and i havent had this code pull up till i swapped over. Im not sure cuz the programmer was already installed when i bought the truck, but isnt the boost read off of the factory vacuum line? I think thats all my problem is, cuz my factory gauge isnt reading either.....
I'm not sure where the boost reading is taken from on the 06 models. MAP inferred I'm sure. Check the MAP sensor line from the intake to the MAP sensor as it may have just popped off. I'm not sure about anything with the edge. I would take it completely out of the loop, clear the code by removing the battery cables for at least 10 minutes and drive it. If you've checked the MAP sensor line and still have no boost then.........I'll defer to the first tech that comes in.
