ok its driven me crazy i dont know what all is going on, with boost/egts etc. So i know i want to monitor those 2 what else? also what does the computer already monitor? it must read boost to be able to send a code of low or high boost? will i need to tie into its reading for my new boost guage or will i just tap into the piping myself? It would appear the edge product that is a programmer as well can monitor these things and display it on its screen. I dont want to go with that programmer as i have read it doesnt treat your tranny to nice Is there another one that does these features as well? It be noce to get like 4 birds with one stone. ha ha.
Top four things to monitor on the 6.0
1. EGT
2. Fuel Pressure
3. Coolant Temp
4. Oil Temp
As far as monitors go, a Quadzilla Scout can monitor all of the above, except oil temp. An Edge Insight can monitor all of the above, except fuel pressure. Both will also monitor boost.
As far as programmers go, someone else will have to chime in since I'm a bit out of the loop.

Some clarification here. EGT and Fuel Pressure have to be monitored using a separate probe. The readout may be displayed all on the same monitor, but EGT and Fuel Pressure cannot be had using the OBD-II port. There is no sensor support for those on the 6.0 modules.
DashDAQ can monitor all those sensors, but like already mentioned you have to use 3rd party probes for the first two to get those to show up.
If you do the Spartan Phalanx tuner, it uses the DashDAQ as the platform and you get custom tunes. Otherwise, I would suggest SCT's X3 tuner and just get analog gauges, but I would add tranny temp in there and take out one from slots 2,3, or 4 in order to add tranny temp. Do not do the LiveWire as that does not have a good reputation for reliability. You have a 50/50 shot of getting a good one. Or you could get the X3 and just get the DashDAQ without the Spartan tuning software if you want.
I just finished up installing my EGT gauge with tripple pod.... 2 holes empty for now and it was a breeze.
I got gauges from GlowShift and they are kinda cool but best price I have found on the net. May be worth checking out?
so if i go with spartan i get the dash daq that auto covers coolant temp and oil temp and boost? i would need to get probe for egt and sending unit for fuel??
Yes you would need to get, I think they are called, widgets from a 3rd party to get them connected for fuel psi and EGTs. Spartan is working on their own sets, how close they are I don't know I use my analog gauges still. There are write ups from those that have done it. Out of the ones that you mentioned, I use the EOT on the DashDAQ as I don't have an analog gauge that reads that, but I have compared the others to my analog ones and they are all very close if not dead on with each other as there was some concern with it using the factory sensors that may or may not have been placed in the best of places compared to where people put their a/m sensor probes.
