got all the fuel leaks fixed , greased what i could underneath cleaned the engine a bit more, turned up the ip , need to work on window motors , adjust clutch , get keys made for doors, and ?
careful turning up the IP. Get it to hot and you can melt holes in the pistons. I suggest installing a pyrometer to keep an eye on the EGTs. Things start to go sour around 1250*f
I will get a pyrometer , I only turned about 1/8 turn , but didnt seem to notice any change , was wondering if i turned it the wrong way ? so need to weld in a bung hole for pyro ? should i do one on both sides ?
nah only need your thermocouple on one side. You probly wont notice 1/8 of a turn. Mines turned up about 1 flat which is 1/6 of a turn. If you turn it in thats turning it up, turning it out turns it down. Standard right hand threads.
im an auto guy (not by choice either lol) so im no help on clutches. The thermocouple gets hot and generates electric to move your gauge. At least thats how I understand it to be.
