Factory '64 Grille guard

Hello again, I've been wondering what's up with the two u-shaped bars in the grille on the '64 I recently aquired, not like any other I've seen. Did a little searching and found that it's for the factory brush guard. Just curious if anyone has a picture of one? '64 F100 4x4. Just want to see what it looks like, don't know what I'm going to do yet, I'm not crazy about the '64 grille, but it's the wife's build and her call. Maybe I'll build a grille guard for it utilizing the stock type mounts.

Also, do the later "tusks" or impact pads that bolt through the front bumper bolts fit these trucks? If the do, pictures of that would be great also. Nevermind, LMC lists as they do, pictures would be great.

Also, the truck has 1 cab marker at each side of the roof, were these an option or added? If they aren't factory, I'd like to toss them and put 5 on there evenly spaced, like they should be.

thanks,
Josh

Have you looked through the picture gallery link above? You may be find a picture of one there...I believe they could be ordered on '64, F100 - F750 trucks.

Again, I'd suggest you look through the gallery for pics......

Yes, clearance (marker) lights were optional from the factory, could have been dealer-installed or they could be owner-installed aftermarket lights. How are they wired, off the headlight switch or a separate toggle switch?

I've seen them evenly spaced and I've seen them NOT evenly spaced; such as with the three in the center grouped and the two outer lights further away from the center three.

thanks,
Josh
Hope that helps ya some,, -- BarnieTrk

hivoltj,
I was thinking about your marker light question some more,,, so I got to thinking I'd better look in the book.
Lo and behold, the book says that the roof-mounted marker lights were only available on the bigger '64-'66 trucks.....the F700-F1100 trucks. Wha?

Now I've seen many '64-'66 F350s with roof-mounted marker lights, more than a few F250s with them and a few F100s with them.
So, were all of those owner or dealer-installed?
...I don't know....

I did look through the galleries, no grille guards, and the clearance lights I saw were all 5 of them and evenly spaced. Who knows if the are factory though?

No ICC lights on roof for f100s. F350 and higher GVRW have them. Look at Bill Ws 64 F250 truck his has a grill guard.

FYI - I have two factory brush guards for sale if anyone is still looking for them. Here is one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-Factor...%7CMake%3AFord

Let me know if you'd like photos of the second one.

The grill guard you have pictured in the ebay listing is not for 65 or 66. With the parking light moving above the headlights the grill guard changed to match the new layout.
