Old Ford lift questions.

I apologize if this is in the wrong section. Moderators, if it is please move it accordingly. I have a 1973 Ford F-250 chassis and a 1969 Ford body on it. I want to run a 40X17X17 Ground Hawg tire on her. What size of lift and or body lift am I going to need without cutting the fenders?

I am pretty set on the tires and size. Reason being I am not going to have enough HP for the Boggers and I like the look of the Hawgs. A little more old school to match the overall build theme. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again in advance.

x2 but if you are going with the old school look, bigger is better. i love ground hawgs, might have to look for some 35's for the bronco

And post that build up. Something to read when we're all bored.

Thanks for all the help folks. The tires will be on some 17x12 wheels and I kind of like the look when they stick out just a bit. Only a few inches though. I figured that since the body was old school the rest of the truck should be as well. I am going to keep the FE motor but, I am trying to figure out how much displacement I want. Think 70's and 80's builds with out all the chrome. I think that is what I want.

I should warn y'all that this is my first Ford build. I am an avid rock crawler and Diesel performance junkie. Dodge is my usual first choice. But, I was really wanting a good looking classic truck to build. The Ford was the winner.
