nice pics.So when ford has you replace the 6.4 how do they have you do it. I finished mine today once the engine finally came today too. The engines arent even available to us. The engine part number is restricted to dealers. This engine was as blue tagged to be sent back to v8 engine relieabilty department at navistar head quaters in chicago for inspection. The engine can also only be sent by them to us as a new service engine no long bloacks ect. Also we can only get long blocks and complete engine for the 6.0 now as they dicontinued the short block due to issues with CAT REMAN former franklin power. The engine come brand new never ran only thing it doest come with is a alternator ,air comp, coolant fittungs and fuel ppump. Internationals use mechanical pumps still for somestuoid reason.
Ya I know about the cat reman stuff. I too have seen there work.
This one is a long block. came pan to intake, front and rear covers. no gaskets. We never know were the engine is going to go when it leavs us till we get the 700 tag. sence I/H doesnt do ford any longer I dont think it will be going back to them.
With what you are saying I surprised they make you tear down the engine for inspection.
We have a $7500 cost cap once we hit that then we have to send in for approval and the man on the other side says what I get in the black box.
