Being in the market for some gauges, and after doing some searches here, I am probably more informed about these gauges but further away from making a decision. The more I searches the more styles looks colors and location to install them started coming up. So if I may and this is the right place for it I would love to see everyones gauge setup. I know I am not alone on this just take a look around and see all the trucks without gauges. Not because they don't want any and surely they could use them but it's the decision of the look, brand and location of them. So if anyone who has pic's and would like to post them on here I'm sure I'm not alone in this request.
I have the Autometer Ultralights but if I was to do it again I would do the Phantom II.
They are a little cheaper and have a better choice of the full sweep gauges that I like.
Autometer ultra lites in a tripple pillar pod. EGT, boost, trans. I like the silver as they match my silver truck with grey interior well. I also have a glowshift fuel psi gauge. It doesnt match and drives me crazy but needed a fuel psi gauge and $200 autometer ultra lite was not in the budget.....maybe one day.

I thought the glowshift was capable of changing colours ???

Some of them can change, but silver is not a color so I just bought the cheapest one I could get (under $50 including the M12 adaper and a universal pod and shipping) to work until a matching autometer is in the budget.
I'm using an Edge Insight and a single Isspro Fuel Pressure gauge.
The FP gauge I mounted in the blank on the dash where the the ESOF 4x4
switch would be.
The Insight I mounted on the left side of dash next to the steering wheel.
There was a small blank there which I believe is where the the switch for the power pedals would be.
There's a big thread about this in the superduty forum somewhere.
I don't know why anyone would get standard gauges anymore. Get an Edge Insight or a DashDAQ.
I have never had an insight, i think they are really neat, but i had a set of 4 gauges on my 7.3 and watching the gauges was like second nature to me. I always knew when a gauge was off just from seeing the gauges so much. Im not sure if the insight shows pressures and temps all on the same screen but it is nice just to make a quick hands free scan while driving. Im not knocking any electronic monitoring device just trying to give some of my own insight...no pun intended .
I am also in the market for some gauges and would like to see an edge insight in action, but as a satisfied pillar guy i believe my mind is made up.
Get a scangauge or something just as a starter. You can resell it for about as much as you bought it for if you decide to upgrade later. I had a triple pillar pod, and the old Edge monitor and I hardly ever looked at my pillar gauges.
