OK, so I asked a similar question like this one a while back about how engine's have you built. But now coming from a different angle...how many engine blocks, FE's or not do you have lying around in your garage / shop / shed or even yard...hehe, all built-up and ready to go or all torn apart? I only have 1 extra block besides the big block 402 I'm running now...it's a shortblock 360. It is the original engine from my truck and who knows, someday it could be back in Juice only built-up a lot bigger. I would like to have some other big block FE's on hand in case I want to build something different. So, how many extra goodies do you have?
I have the original 360 block from my truck with all the pieces, a complete 390 (105) block i picked up for 75 bucks thats all torn down and the 390 i swapped into my truck...and i'm going to look a 460 block this weekend for a 477 drag build
I've got 3 FE motors, 1 big block chevy, 1 small block chevy (434 running about 750 hp), and 2 Dodge 440's. These are all not in any vehicles. Some day I want to find a 1966 Nova for the 434.
I've only got two. One is a hot 289 that I used to run in my 68 Cougar and the other is a 360 shortblock the Chasetruck754 gave me last week because he doesn't run FE's. The 360 will get stroked for one of my dents in the future.
Since everyone is mentioning their Briggs engines I may as well throw in the 11 HP horizontal I recently took off my air compressor.
I have an extra 302 layin around complete and running. Many Briggs and Straton engines. Extra block for a WD45 Allis Chlamers, and one Pontiac 400 block.
