spark plug gap?

1963 292 V8, gap is .028-.032? so...., .030 is good?

so far i have rebuilt the carb, changed the rad out for a clean one, changed the thermostat and bypass hose, changed the fuel filter... doing the plugs today and squirting a little marvels mystery oil in the cylinders.
i think i am getting close to giving it a try, i am hoping this weekend!

thanks

Wider is generaly better. Narrow plug gaps can solve starting issues on points ignitions. I would run .032 and reset the timing.

If you installed an ignitor modual then I would run .045.

Thanks Flip, I hit a snag today with a leaky freeze plug, hope i dont have to pull the engine out to change it!

after i confirm it still runs i plan on a protronics ignition in place of the points.
