Cool, I thought it was strange too. But I don't send too many messages so just figured I had done something wrong.

Jeff,
I made my own however I could have purchased aftermarket weld or bolt in mounts. In my case I have a sbc. Hopefully someone will chime in that is setting up the Jag IFS with a sbf. I suspect that you will want to go with the bronco pan/oil pump to clear the Jag IFS and keep the engine low in the chassis. I also boxed the front of my chassis however that is not a must do.

I got the suspension home and this wierd bolt that goes inside the back rubber suspension mounts must have got dropped somewhere. Its got a triangular steel wedge where the bolt head would be. I looked all over for it...no where to be found...hope I can find another. Or a suitable replacement...Its always something! I didn't get the master cylinder/booster because I want to use a new frame mount unit. I got the whole section of steering shaft between the rack and the end of the steering column. got the sway bar and its mounts got the wierd brake line ends that were talked about. didn't get the power steering pump, I will use a ford pump, whatever is mounted to motor I get.
Any feed back on parts I didn't get please let me know, it will be available for a short time. I thought about the steering column, but these guys were tired of me being meticulous! Typical salvage guys...If ya can't torch it or saws-all it then it is too tough for them. But they were pretty cool all in all!

I would go back and get the Jag p/s pump. It may operate differently with pressure or volume than the Ford pump, and you really want matching parts to your Jag steering. Also, you won't have to have custom lines made with metric fittings on one end and sae on the other.

The Jag pump is nothing more than a GM Saginaw pump. They are very common and have been used by many different manufacturers since the '60s. It's one of the easiest parts to find and adapt to whatever engine you are using.
I'm not sure but it's my understanding that everything on the Jag IFS is SAE thread EXCEPT for the brake calipers and brake hose fittings which are metric. Tim

What year(s) and model(s) of jag should a guy look for if he's going to install it in a '58? Seems like I seen one of these setting somewhere real close to hear and its been there for a long time. Might have to hit the guy up about buying it.

The Jag IFS that is preferred is the series 3 which was used in the '79-'87 XJ6 and the XJ12 from around '79-'92. The XJ12 was a 2 door with the 12 cylinder engine. The 12's suspension was the same as XJ6 except that it had heavier springs to support the heavier 12 cylinder engine. Tim
