My truck has a 16 gallon gas tank and i'm looking at replacing it with a 19 gallon side mounted tank would it directly strap up just like the 16 or would I have to do some moving to make room?

I checked and they have the dimensions,
16 gal tank - 42-3/8 in. length; 14-3/8 in. width; 11 in. height;
19 gal tank - 58-7/8 in. length; 12-1/4 in. width; 12-1/2 in. height;
This is replacement for an 83 F-150 XL 351W, I used it for an example.

It will not fit, you have crossmembers in the way. I had a shortbed F-150 with a worked over 302 and 4 speed, it sucked gas especially when towing. Simple solution is get a rear tank. You can get factory 19 gal rear tanks that drop in (find another bed or modify yours) or aftermarket 39 gal rear tanks that only need longer tank straps and removing spare tire hanger.
