Nice job. How'd you clean up the cover and what did you use for paint? That cover looks good.
I wish I had a blaster...but just a simple wire wheel and a little elbow grease...then added some Oklahoma Chrome (Silver spray paint)...and that was it.
how many quarts of lube did it take to do the front ? and is the rear the same amount ??
what did you use for a gasket / sealant ? good old fashioned liquid gasket ?
did you NEED the transfer pump, or did you use it for convenience ?

The front used nearly 3 qts 75w-90 LS and the rear used a little more than 3qts 75w-140 LS...the pump was great because both fill plugs are not too easy to use with the shape of most lube bottles... So, not necessary, but worth the few bucks for the tool. I used it for my Transfer case as well. As for sealant Permatex Ultra Black Gasket maker...worked great for the rear and front.
