Anyone know how to tie these? It's a dally wrap, one strand, but I can't find it in the Ashley Book of Knots.

 

I don't,,, but I found a site that has step-by-step instructions all accompanied with purdy pix!!

Wrap A Saddle Horn With Rubber

 

Thanks Snowbunny, my horn is already wrapped with rubber over one of those deals, the reason I need to know how to tie them is my stock whips are fraying where the handle ends, and I know that tying wraps like these around that part of the whip can help make them last longer.

 

A dally wrap's a dally wrap,, ,yes??

 

The problem with knots is that they are known by so many different names. I don't see horn or dally on this list, but there is a good chance it is covered under another name.
