Yesterday a buddy gave me his Pioneer DEH 9 head unit.Everything on it works perfect,but he didn't have the manual for it,so I have no idea which wires to use.Would anybody have a wiring diagram for this radio or know which colors are which?I know the wires I need for my truck,I just don't know which are which for the radio.On the Power side of the plug,there's a red wire,yellow wire,a black wire,and another color I can't recall.On the speaker side theres 2 gray/black wires,2 white/black wires,2 purple/black wires,and two green(unknown stripe color) wires.I do have pics of the wires if needed.Any help is greatly appreciated.The Pioneer website wasn't much help,I couldn't find my Radio in their listings.Maybe I got the name of it wrong?

Well,I was mistaken,it's actually a DEH 1900MP.

Also,the radio says Super Tuner III on it.I'm familiar with the original Super Tuners from the 80's and how everybody thought they were the best,but does it really mean anything now on the newer radios?

 

Here you go (this is from a similar model, same wires though):

Yellow - To terminal always supplied with power regardless of ignition switch position
Red - To electric terminal controlled by ignition switch
Black - ground
Blue/white - To system control terminal of the power amp
White(+)-White/Black(-) - Front left speaker
Green(+)-Green/Black(-) - Rear left speaker
Gray(+)-Gray/Black(-) - Front right speaker
Violet(+)-Violet/Black(-) - Rear Right speaker

 

Thanks for the reply,but I got it figured out.I had the model wrong,so I couldn't find anything on the radio,but as soon as I looked up the right model,the Pioneer site had the manual and wiring diagram on their site.Thanks again.
