I'm going to be getting the Bushwacker cut out fender flares which will take up to 4" off my fenders. What size tire is going to look and fit right without a lift? What tire will look/fit right after a 4" lift? Thanks for your help. --Eric
The axles are gonna be able to handle up to about 35-36's after that you are going to start wearing and breaking components prematurely. So no matter how much of your poor Bronco's body you amputate, the axles will only handle so much unsprung weight before you start breaking parts of them.
With 4" lift the biggest size you'll be able to use without rubbing anything will be 35", you will have to consider also re-gearing your transmisions to -at least- 4.56, 4.88 would be most desirable.
Thx Kem, i meant that, and thx for clarifying Rock. Yes, here it gets a little mixed up as folks use the term "transmision" to refer to both gearboxes and differentials, i just though it was the same in the US. You guys would have a blast trying to talk to a mechanic around here, i.e. they call the torque converter "the turbine".
