Talking Opinions... 1.0 or 1.15 exhaust housing on a van turbo

I have my pick between a van turbo with a 1.0 A/R exhaust housing or van turbo with a 1.15 A/R exhaust housing. Neither of them are wastegated. I'm looking for opinions on which way others would lean with this decision. I only plan on MAYBE ever going up to stage 1 injectors and I'm not looking for crazy horsepower. I do however want to be able to build boost safely whether it's towing a camper or just cruisin down the highway. So go ahead and throw those opinions out there brothers.

What's the difference between the 1.0 and the 1.5 exhaust housing? Is the size difference to lower egt's?

From what I understand with stock sticks you might be better with the 1.0 housing. The 1.15 housing will probably cause more lag down low so if you plan on towing or hauling you might not like it. But since I've no experience with injectors it's only an opinion on my part. I know I tow a lot and won't be going with bigger injectors so I've actually decided to keep my original .84 housing, unless I decide to go with a 38R someday. I like being able to "lug" it in O/D and still pull a grade and have that boost but EGTs are still in check down at low rpms. I don't think you'll need a 1.15 housing with stock injectors.

personally, I would go with the 1.0
you will get quicker boost then the 1.15, and lower egt then the stock .84
BUT, I dont think the "lag" will be too bad, because the stock obs turbo is a 1.15 non wg turbo as well, and with any type of tuning, im sure lag will be minimal.

I would have to ask Clay, but for some reason I think I have the 1.15 housing. IMO it really doesn't lag that bad down low and it sure does pull on the top end. Like I said though, I would have to double check with Clay.

canister, I did get that one but it came with a 1.0 housing on it. The seller has been extremely accomodating and offered to send me another turbo with the 1.15 housing at no additional cost. Then just send back the other one.
