Cleaning the throttle body
Has anyone ever cleaned out their throttle bodys and intakes on a 5.4L Expedition? I installed a Helix power tower today on my 1997 Expy and the throttle body was just covered in "carbon deposits". The stickers says to not clean them at all.....something I heard once about some special coating to help with sludge build up....but it obviously isn't working very well. Thanks for the help.

Cleaning the throttle body
I had my FI system cleaned about a year ago and part of the service was cleaning all of the crap you see in the throttle body. Mine was very black as well, but I never knew about the label that said not to clean it. I have had no problems since, other than the #4 coil pack.
