Tranny????
This morning driving to work doing 70ish with no problem. Get off the hwy to 45 mph road and driving at a steady 45 mph and then the rpms go to idle and the more gas I gave it nothing happend then all of a sudden the truck responsed to the gas pedal and shot off like I'm drag racing. I noticed last night that while driving home at about 65 mph the tranny seemed to downshift but I thought maybe I got off the gas, the hwy is flat so I don't know what that was all about. It's a 05, F250, 6.0 all stock no mods. I just got it 10 weeks ago with 98,000 miles. At 100,000 miles I took it to my local Ford service center and got all the fluids and filters changed except for the internal tranny filter. The mech said it didn't need it based on the condition of the tranny fluid. I stressed what type of tranny fluid to use and was told they know what to put it. I have no idiot lights showing up on the information center and will see if my SCT excal2 will read any codes. Sorry so long, any ideas of what might be going on?
The good news, my wife just called and said my coolent filter kit from Dieselsite just arrived!!!

That behavior sounds like a bad throttle position sensor or wiring to the sensor.
