2006 6.0 F250 super duty went down without a fight. travelled approx 2 miles and the throttle just stopped accepting, engine still running got off the road and shut it down for a minute and cranked back up accepted throttle for about 1/2 mile and started all over, limped back to the house at 1/2 mile intervals and finally the check engine light came on and gave me the P0299 turbo underboost. took the hoses off to inspect the turbo and it is looking fine, put it all back together, cranked up and no more codes, took it for a 5 mile test run and never skipped a beat. Any ideas as to what can cause this disruption in service? I replaced the cam sensor about 6 months ago and it acted the same way but would not crank. Maybe when I disconnected the battery cables it gave the truck time to reset the system. Just searching for why this possibly happened with the code being given.
