hey guys, i mentioned a few weeks ago that i got a bed for my truck. now i'm looking for a wiring harness for the brakes/tail light/turn signals. they gave me one when i bought the bed, but it's a real mess. anyone know where i could get a new rear wiring harness or a good used one for a 78 F250 4x4?
Are you talking about the harness that goes from the front to the rear of the truck along the frame rail or the harness that goes along the back of the bed between the right and left taillights?
D8TZ-14405-G Wiring Assy. (rear lamp) 1978 F150/250 regular cab 4WD w 133" wb w/o camper special package (runs along frame rail).
D4TZ- 13A409-A Wiring Assy. (rear lamp connector) '74-up F100-350 from s/n T00,001 up (connects right and left taillights).
You can try obsolete parts houses or maybe someone has a decent one they'd like to get rid of.
well it probably needs both, but right now i'm just concerned about the one that goes between the rear lights and to the license plate lights. it's a supercab as well, not sure if that makes a big difference.
The p/n for the harness you're looking for is the same whether it's a regular cab or super cab. The other harness is a different p/n for supercab D8TZ-14405-B. I checked Green Sales and Parts International, neither has either of the harnesses in stock.
