bypass glowplug controler?

bypass glowplug controler?
Is there any way to teperarly bypass the glowplug controler? I think that is my problem but want to make sure before I shell out anymore money. truck is a 89 7.3

ya, you can start by jumping from the power in to the switch prong to see if that clicks on. second, you can run a thick jumper wire from the positive in to the coil on it. it draws a ton of amps so the wire might get pretty hot quick. that will let you know if its the box itself or just the solenoid

On a 89 ... All you need to do is remove the white wire on the Relay (on top of controller) and ground the terminal on the relay you removed it from ... WARNING!!! This will activate your glow plugs as long as you have the key on...
To do a manual button setup, Use a push button, ground one leg of the push button, the other leg goes to the terminal on the relay you removed the white wire from.
When the key is on, hold that button for 10 seconds, start truck.
