Hello all, It's been years since I've posted around here, I sold my beloved 94 F150 and my Galaxie 500 a few years back. But last night I made a little purchase......I bought a 71 F250 with a 390 and a 4 speed. Body's decent, interior is fair. I have a feeling I'll be a regular around these parts again........I'm exited! I can't believe I have a classic Ford in my stable once again!!! I'm just crawling out of my skin here at work because I can't wait to start tinkering with her!
edit-360, not 390.........
Okay, first of all..WOW! I love my new '71! Runs like a champ. That 4 on the floor is a little tricky to drive though, it's a tranny better suited to a tractor or a combine than an over-the-road vehicle! Secondly, it was a major challenge replacing the shocks this weekend. Let's just say that my angle grinder pretty much replaced my impact wrench. sure does ride and handle better now though!
yeah those bolts on the old shocks can be a pain if they are rusted beyond all hope to get off. I ended up getting mine off ok but I had to buy new hardware for the new shocks. Oh well minor expense and a trip to the local hardware supplier. Good luck with the new truck. You have any pics?
