'71 390 compatible trucks
Thanks
Secondly, the 390 is of the FE engine family. The FE was offered in Ford trucks starting in 1965 and going through 1976/77 when the FE was discontinued. If you have the engine perches or stands from the truck as well as the motor, it is a bolt in through the 1979 trucks. You will need an FE specific transmission or bellhousing however, so keep that in mind....

Well the 67 to 72 trucks all have the same body lines with changes to the front grill.
These motors were put in trucks from the mid 60's?? up to 76. If you wanted to the motor could go into just about anything provided you have the correct motor mounts and tranny to mate to it. You could probably put it into a 2005 F150 with some motor mount modifications. You could also fit it into any 60's or 70's car(mustang, falcon, fairmont, torino, etc.)
Basicly find a style you like and drop it in. Anything past say '86 may be tougher to get it into as far as truck go(but thats all I know).
