depends on the filter your using. if your using one with a **** at the bottom, just twist it and it will drain. if you have one with the silver bottom then you can press the button at the bottom

there is a thing u loosen on the very bottom of filter to let out water but ive alway s just taken the filter off and drained and flushed it when ever i had a problem. 10 to 15 k on replacing it. i change mine 1 to 2 times a year.

not on all of them. there are 2 different filters you can use...
