Hello all. I'm looking at a 1983 ford conversion van. It looks and drives like its been someones "baby". It has 70000 mi on it (The old woman told me that is all they drove it). It has the 302 CI in it and has no leaks. I've never had the 302 or a van. I'm asking for help. what do you all know about these vans?. Were they good?. What problems should I look for. This is the add for it.
Thanks a ton for any info.
Ed
1983 Ford conversion van. Automatic, 302 engine with 70,xxx original miles. One owner. Runs and drives good. Very comfy. Has captains chairs and rear seat folds down into bed. Brakes are a bit stiff and it needs tags -- other than that it's good to go. Clean title in hand. $600

Looks good, if that is actual miles, you're good to go 100,000 more with proper maintenance, it's pre overdrive, will have the C-6, the overdrive is better on the highway when it comes to gas mileage but first versions were junk. Well worth the money.
Good choice, even for 170,000 miles it was worth the $600.

Mainly that the seats are correctly bolted to the floor if they do not use the factory mounting holes. Same with the seat belts.
