Sold the crew cab..She had 190k and had dings and dents. If i kept it id have to paint it and i just dont have the time. I know it was all there and needed nothing drivetrain wise. she leaves saturday morning. Soo the quest for another stroke is on. Im thinking something smaller...maybe a ext cab f-250..or maybe a single cab. However you cant find a single cab for less that 10 grand! Theres a ext cab near me for 8g's. Its white 4x4 with 126k. Any ideas? I want to use ti as a daily driver and the crew cab was just to big. But a ext cab isnt much shorter.

8K isn't bad if it is a manual transmission. They commonly go for $7.5-8K here with a manual and 200K miles. However if it's an auto I wouldn't go higher than 6. A beefed up auto will run you $3-4K easy. My truck has an extended cab long bed and I manage to take it anywhere without an issue. Just be careful in parking garages!
Dang yea, its a auto...my crew cab was an auto with 190k on the stock tranny!!! So i crossed my fingers everytime i drove it. The kid is pretty firm on his asking price. I got 7500 for my crew cab and i dont really want to dump all the money into another truck.
Well I like to auto tranny. Just crawl under the truck and make sure its not JASPER blue!
I would hate having another manual transmision, all the gate holes, plus going to school in the city would suck going through gears at every light, no thanks. E4OD for me.
Kris you're back east aren't you? If you were closer I'd keep an eye out for you. Try to get the F350 single cab, the F250 4x4 front end can be a headache (though I had 2 gassers with TTB and never a problem... but a PSD is a LOT heavier than a 460). Your best bet is going to be to find one with a "bad transmission" or "motor problems" that someone doesn't realize is an easy fix. There was a 99 F250 ECLB 4x4 PSD on the Seattle CL yesterday that sold for $3400 with a motor knock that was probably just a bent pushrod.
