Question '77 F250 rear wheel hubs

Just registered, but have used alot of the info from these forums in the past.
I have a 1977 F250 4x4 C/S and my bearings ate out the bearing race area of my rear hub, so I need a new one, I've seen brand new front hubs online (4wdfactory.com), but no rears, are there any places that make brand new rear Ford hubs?

I can get a Used one for $150 from my nearest used parts yard, shipped from another yard.... or I can just buy a whole used Ford D60 axle off Craigslist for ~the same price. Any info would be appreciated, would like to get a brand new one so I'm not taking a shot in the dark with used ones. Thanks guys

I'm in Spokane, WA if I can find one for $16 that would be heaven, but the local Pull N Save has none of these since that is the first thing to go from these trucks here

I recently attempted to find a new rear hub for the Dana 60 of my 74. I could not find one anywhere, and I don't believe they are available unless someone has one sitting around on their garage shelf.

I had to round one up from a eBay (I live in Alaska). Beware, I believe there are two different ones, and they take 2 different inner bearings as well as the seal. I got the wrong one, but I was able to pull out my Timken Bearing catalog and National Seal catalog and find the bearings and seal in town to adapt to mine.

There is a casting number inside. Make sure they match and you should be good.

I found one on ebay for $7* with $12 shipping, but I don't really want to take that chance, I went to Napa, called a "Ford" only place here in town, and a local used auto parts place, all said the same thing "nobody makes new ones", with as many of these rigs around you'd think they would!!!! When I went to get the bearings for my truck today the inside race was just WAY to loose so I figured I had been sold the wrong one, took the hub in and the salesman said it had "bored" itself out, I know there are 2 D60 styles one has a big inner bearing and small outer bearing, and another has both small bearings the same size like mine, the big inner bearing was to big for mine

yeah, I have exactly what you have. But I was able to make the larger bearing hub work on my small bearing axle. I wish I had saved the bearing and seal numbers.

Fits: 1969 F250 from serial number G30,001 / 1970/78 F250 / 1979 F250 before 9/18/1979.

Last MSRP: $227.15 / Dealer net cost: $136.29 / Even if you were willing to pay one a these prices, or something in-between...

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

2) C7TZ1239A .. Hub Bearing Race-Inner/Outer / Bearing Industry number: LM104911

2) C7TZ1240A .. Hub Bearing-Inner/Outer / Bearing Industry number: LM104949

These "Industry" numbers are what autoparts stores go by, and are also stamped on the bearing and race.

2) C9TZ1175A .. Hub Seal / National Seal part number: 62927 = what autoparts stores go by.

* All 1953/65 F250's, some 1966/79 F250's have 12 1/8" x 2" brakes.

What the rear brake size is all depends on what the trucks GVW is. It has nothing to do w/the Dana 60, as both hubs, brakes sizes were used with the same rear axle.

The hub, seal, bearings, races used with 12 1/8" x 2" brakes are not the same as used with 12" x 2 1/2" brakes.

ALL 1966/79 F250 Camper Special's, 1967/79 F250 4WD's have 12" x 2 1/2" brakes.

Why are you trying Ford? Try a Spicer/Dana dealer like drivetrain industries. May find one collecting dust on the shelf. Ford never made these, Dana did.

I have the rear end from my early 77 highboy that is bound for the scrapper. I'm not sure if the hubs on that axle are what you're looking for. I would remove and inspect the hubs and sell them to you for a case of beer if you're interested. You're a little ways away from me so call it $18.00 + shipping and you can have them. I'll be gone on vacation from this Friday until the following saturday so you'd have to wait a couple weeks for them.

thanks man, that would have been cool, but I got it all buttoned up tonight, just need to adjust the brakes tomorrow, if I were you I'd pull those hubs off and save em or sell em, I never knew this would be such an ordeal, one hub from the wrecking yard was going to cost me $150 or I could have ebayed one for $75+$12 shipping I think. Now for $75 from Craigslist, I have an extra hub, 2 30 spline shafts, a housing that I'm probably gunna end up scrapping if it doesn't sell within a week, and other misc parts (if anyone close wants a D60 axle housing let me know)
