76 Tranny

I have a 1976 Stepside F100 that came with a 300 inline six and 3 speed manual transmission. Someone has swapped a 360 with the 300 but kept the 3 spd. What auto transmission did Ford back the 360 with? What years would work? Would I have to do anything to the driveshaft?

The 360 was backed by a c-6 but I don't know about the drive shaft or the conversion possibilities. Good luck
