I had to see if the 89 brackets would work. I have pictures of it in the junkyard truck and mocked up on my motor. All is well in my world again.

my original mustang alt bracket and the windsor power steering and A/C bracket painted. There is very little difference between the 79 mustang and the 89 truck alternator brackets.

You can see the tube running between the alt and tensioner going to the waterpump. You can also see that the fuel pump is not in the way.
I have a 351w and I'm wondering if there is any way to convert the v-belt pulleys to a serpentine belt. The motor is carbuerated so I'm not sure about the whole reverse rotation water pump thing? Anyone ever do a serpentine belt swap?
