I'm sure this ? will get many varied answers. I come from the early bronco world and as ya'll know there is very little choices there. I am new to this site and have been reading some of the various comments on this subject. I just bought a 1975 f-100 4 wheel drive that had a 300 6cyl in it originally and I put a 302 that I had already built. I was contemplating a 351w but I have seen alot of positive comments about the 390. Any suggestions will be great. Thanks

Pretty much. Greater aftermarket support than the FE series too. If you're going to go through the hassle of swapping engines you might as well go for the big gun. There is still no replacement for displacement. 460's are littering junkyards everywhere, and FE series motors are far less common, at least where I'm from.

I'm with the 460 guys, best allpurpose engine ford built. Used in cars ,trucks, boats , industrial, ect. You can make it mild or make it mean , but its allways tuff.
