The extended warranty is from Ford called Diesel Care and only covers 13 major components on the engine only. The price varies from the dealerships, I was quoted as high as $2500.00. But I purchased it for $2150.00, there also is an inspection fee of $100. This varies by dealerships some will wave it, they want to make sure the engine is healthy and it must be purchased before your existing warranty runs out. There is zero deductible with towing. After the shop reconditioned my turbo it failed so a new turbo was installed. I purchased the warranty just in case the shop made another mistake.
