Help!! Gotta change my front wheel hubs
Ok so here's the deal I have a F-250 Diesel 7.3 4x4 I was driving home from work this morning when all of the sudden I hear this pop kinda noise and the truck pulled to the right. Thought and felt kinda like a blow out! Needless to say it wasnt pulled into the Ford dealer a few miles down the road and after hours of sitting there they come back and tell me its going to be almost a grand for parts and labor. So I start checking around and not much better anywhere else. Called the trusty Autozone and Napa whoaaa the differenc in price. So I am pretty capable of doing most of my normal maintenance on my truck oil change, brakes, ect those kinda of things figured from what I read this isnt gonna be much worse than a brake and rotor job, but I have never done hubs before. So can anyone help a girl out and tell me am I going to need any special tools besides maybe some snap ring pliers and typical wrenchs ect.. And is there anything else I need to watch for or beware of during the process?
Thanks in advance for any help!!

Welcome to FTE. Here's another link with pictures that may help. It's not too hard to pull the hubs (I'm assuming that you are talking about the wheel hubs and not the 4x4 hubs - two different topics). this link will show you the step by step to remove both the 4x4 and the wheel hub to either replace or r and r them.

As the two above me have said, Guzzle's site will have ALL you need, and well-illustrated, too!
If you were in a hurry, you'd spend about two hours on it. Slow-pokin' on a Saturday afternoon will take you three. The dealer's tech can do it in 30 minutes and make GOOD money!
If you can get them in advance, get four new hub stud "bolts". About $4 each from Ford. You can re-use the old nuts.
