I've been using the 1/2 watt for a few years now and it hasn't failed yet. I'd say go for the 1/2 watt and "Get'r done!"

Roland I thought it was you that was burning up 1/2watters... guess I was wrong. I'll take the change I removed from the center console last night and pick up a pack of 1/2watters on my way to soccer practice tonight.

Check out the pic in this post by mueckster https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ml#post8790682. You bend the ends like he did and shove it into the plug. The plug you put the resistor in the one that plugs into the front of the pedestal.
