Wow, I know that Love's Store pretty well if it's the one I think it is. We stayed at the KOA up the road at least 4 times - usually when we would go to the State Fair or on our way to the Smokies. Couldn't believe the destructive path when watching the coverage. I always would keep a weather radio in the truck and camper this time of year when we lived in Oklahoma. It was this time last year when the baseball sized hail totalled my wifes car and did about 3K worth of hail damage to my F-250. When the storm line was at Altus, OK I knew we had about 30 minutes to button down the hatches before it hit Lawton. During the 5 years we lived there I think we had to go in the storm shelter 4 or 5 times. Very interesting with two kids, dog, cat, 2 rabbits and a beta fish.

Good to hear from you Rich, the first person that welcomed me to FTE when I signed up. It was the Love's that has the KOA just to the North of it. Hope you are enjoying your new location, I'm sure the weather is a bit different there.

Yep, that was the one we would stay at.

The weather up here during the spring & summer is great. The winter is another story. -27 was freaking cold

Good to hear from you and hope all is well with you! I know Jon from Chickasha is out running around chasing the Twisted Sisters around Oklahoma and Kansas.

Dave Alva is just north east of the sand dunes, if you have ever been to the dunes you have prob been through Alva but if you blinked you may have missed it.

Slept like a rock woke up to alil moisture not enough to matter. The dam will be another 5yrs I believe. The walleye rodeo is going on this weekend. Gary is on it pretty good up here as he grew up here and all his family is still here. If you make it up here again let me know I only live 6mi from the lake.

Man this year is crazy!! Major hail storm came through OKC area on Sunday, and more tornadoes yesterday evening. They were to close to home for me. Saw a major lowering about 1/2 mile from the house while driving home from the church.

I've seen parts of this video on the Weather Channel and some news stations. Makes that pool look like the ocean during a storm. Really scary after the 1 1/2 minutes into the video.
