BACAGrizz lives in Moore, OK. He appears to have been spared though.

I hope so Havi, not much of Moore left! A nasty day throughout the KS/OK area today, and it's moving east....

Glad to hear you're okay. Very sorry to hear about your family's homes. I just watched a video of those kids reuniting with their parents amid the chaos after that storm, and realizing how many of those precious children (and adults) did not survive that, it's just terribly heartbreaking. I just cannot imagine.

The destruction that Nature can unleash is unbelievable. - I responded to both the Zenia Ohio tornado's and I believed until yesterday that I had seen all that a tornado could do - Looking at the scenes of that destruction I am amazed that anyone that was in the path survived
My thoughts and prayers are with all those touched by the disaster.

Tornados are amazing. We get them through WI once in a while and of course they leave a path of distruction but nothing like this. We've had almost complete town wiped out here though. Our prayers are with our OK brothers and sisters.

We had one come through nearby a few years ago. Fortunately it went through mostly farm country so there wasn't a lot of human injuries involved but the paper had a aerial photo of the trench the tornado going through a large area of farm fields. In the middle was a lone small house. The tornado veer off it's path to catch the house and then went back in line with it's original path, just enough to catch the house. Very strange to see that.

One of my clients was the REACT assoc the guys that set up communications before cells were so common. We would go into these area hit by storms and help the police and fire guys. You would not believe the power and destruction until you were right I the Aftermath. Our hearts go out to the families that lost love ones and all that lost possessions Does anyone think there is a way we could help as a group that cares. Just a thought. Dave s
