Seems to be you are the only one having problems... operator error? If your flywheel is smacking that cover hard enough to destroy it you've probably got bigger issues.

But again, this is a thread about the flywheel cover, not my vibration.
I agree with Chase, if your flywheel is getting into the cover, then you've got some bigger issues. You might not think they're related, but the ENTIRE system is tied together, crank, flywheel, trans, transfer case, driveshafts, etc. It very well could be about your vibration playing a roll in your flywheel issue. But judging by your comment about nobody helping, I guess you've already got everything figured out. So why'd you ask the question anyway?
BTW- Who popped your cherry today, BRO???? As said on another site, you make smartazz comments like that ALL THE TIME, but oh how your panties get all up in a bunch when you get it back!!!
Maybe you should think about your words quoted above before you make ignorant comments... just sayin'.
Here is a link I found with a kinda similar problem on a later model V-10. But it might be an idea you could adapt to the 7.3. There are a bunch of threads on inspection cover if you search the entire forum. I'll keep hunting around for other ideas.
