You sound kinda like me.
I'm also 21 and single and don't really socialize that much. I don't really worry about it though cause I'd rather wait and have some fun before I find a woman. All my cousins give me a bad time cause I buy new things like a 4-wheeler and Ford Super Duty. I figure I better get them now while I'm single and can afford them I think there has been a lot of good advice given here. I like the idea of going to church to find good women though. That is deffinetly a good place to find a nice girl. And if you don't already belong to a church you can search around and find one that has a lot of young women to go to. I wouldn't say that you can't find a good woman in a bar though. They're just like you and are out looking for a guy and a bar is a good gathering place. I know a guy that went out bar hopping with a buddy looking for a girlfriend and found one the first night out. Two years later he married her and she is really nice. Just use your judgement and you'll be able to find a nice one. But don't get in a hurry and before you know it you'll meet the right woman.

man i am shocked no one has said match.com lemme tell you from personal experience it works and its really worth it. i am the shy type dont really like picken up women in bars. i like finding a woman online talking for awhile before i ever have to meet her face to face , best way to weed out who you do and dont wanna meet
then when you do meet you know what ya'll have in common etc etc ......... and match.com helped me alot i am very tall and unlike alot of tall guys i dont like short women match.com helped me find a beautiful 6'1 blonde who lives only 30 miles from my house. so take it from me man its realy worth it ....btw i am also 21

 

You ain't gonna like this but ask yo mama. Really, also relatives, church members, good friends, work associates. All these people know you to some degree and may know the type of woman who might make a good match.

You are a little young yet to get serious so it is more important to just relax and have friends of both sexes. Eventually as you get older, you will figure out what you really want and will probably know a few friends who could be more than that. Most of us get too tied up in looking instead of seeing whatcha may already got.

Best advice my dad ever told me... just talk and listen. People of the opposite sex usually just want a freind they can talk with, good things come later.

One good way I know of is too borrow a friend's dog and take it to the park, chicks dig it.

 

If you don't like the bar scene, here are some options:

1) Cruze about town in your truck with some buddy's and see who you meet - ladies cruz too!

2) Try a social club - church, hobbiest, community, mixed sports.

3) Post a request on this site - I am sure there has to be some single ladies floating around here some where that are definately into Ford Trucks!

4) Try online or newspaper dating services.

5) You mentioned Four-wheeling on the beach - there has to be some single ladies on the beach who would take notice of a guy on a four wheeler - drive slow and take in the scenery - make yourself approachable.

6) Just kick-back and enjoy the single life - that is when you might meet some one - you know they always say you find things when you are not looking for them!

7) Go to a automotive show / swap meet / competition

8) Use your Friend Network - find out who knows who -

Volunteer !

If you fortunate enough to meet a woman who also volunteer's,then you have found someone who GIVES of themself, rather than TAKES.

This to me is a quality trait.
And you both have it.


Don't be ,looking too hard, just keep one eye open for when the
opportunity presents itself.

You got some great tips here, PSD. The best advice came from those who told you not to worry about it, slow down, and don't be in a hurry. I'd give my Terminolgy removed by Adminwith all my hair, 40 less lbs, and my whole life in front of me.
You're a couple steps ahead of the game already. As long as you take care of your appearance, don't avoid social situations and have some confidence and a sense of humor the rest will take care of itself. Just be yourself, don't be too agressive and don't try too hard or you'll come off as a loser. There's 2 things women like to see and that's confidence and a sense of humor. And be a good listener. And unless you meet that 1 girl in a hundred who likes all the same activities you do, your play time is going to take a major hit.
Man, I'm jealous of you. At my age, all the women you meet have kids or are desperate to get married in a week.

 

I gotta second fordtruck87's opinion of match.com. It worked for me also. I don't like to waste time on meatmarkets or chasing women who aren't interested, so it was ideal for me. You can go at your own pace and don't have to kiss any frogs.
My girlfriend and I met there in July 2001 and we're still together.

 

Hey fordtruckin is right., borrow a dog. My wife and I took ours on vacation last year and I renamed the dog to "the bikini babe magnet". Now of course the wife was a little angry that (I) wanted total control of the dog for the week.
