Jason, Your truck should have come with a 360 in it, but may have met a back yard re-designer along the way.

A better way to say it is; "MOST 427's were crossbolted, but not all."

Most 406's were NOT crossbolted except for a few at the very end of their production.

With Ford it is most inadvisable to say things like , all or never.

There is a drill bit test to determine 428 bore size, 4.13 I believe. Pop a freeze plug and insert the proper size drill bit between the cylinders. If it fits with the proper bit size, its another way to help determine bore size but the only sure way is to pull a head and measure. Visit fordfe.com and do a search on drill bit test.
