Is there a way to change the display to celcius? My new-to-me excursion shows the temp in degrees F, and my kids don't have a clue what that means. I looked in the owners manual, and no help. I'm in Canada by the way.
It is too bad that they only thought of the top display and the climate control to change over. It would have been nice to see that on the other dials as well. I had a car that had a digital spedometer and it was nice to hit the border and touch one button to get in mph, and then vise e versa on the way home. Made driving down there a lot easier not having to look harder at the speedo.
The short answer to your question is Yes. I had the opposite problem when I bought my 2005 Excursion; I wanted temperature in Fahrenheit. Also, you are correct; it was not discussed in my Owner's Manual either.
On the automatic climate control console, press and hold the AUTO button (bottom, far left) and the DEFROST button (bottom, far right) simultaneously for two seconds, and it will toggle the display between English and Metric units of measure.
