well i went to the junkyard and found the gt 40 heads that i wanted. now i'm just waiting to pick them up. which pushrods do i need for my 84 302. would the stock ones work? i hope that the engine builder gets his machines to his shop this weekend so we can get started on he rebuild.....
they only costed $200 but they didn't leave the rockers on so i'll have to get some and the studs to mount them on but i'm cool with that...thanks for the pushrod info too fellas and they also have a few more stes for the same price
All 93,94 & 95 Cobra Mustangs which came stock with the GT-40 heads and Crane 1.7 RRs. You can sometime pick these up used for about $100 or less. Not sure what they go for new now? They just bolt on instead of the stock one.
Pedestal mount rockers bolt down, they don't require studs.
does anybody know the specific specs on gt40 heads? like intake/exhaust valve sizes, fort sizes, vave opening compacity and stuff like that? how much better will they flow than stock 80's 351w heads? thanks.
so based on those charts they flow a fairly decent amount better. what hp are gt40 heads good for with a wiend stealth hi rise intake, edelbrock 650cfm carb headers and a pretty good cam? thanks fro the info so far. thanks for the info so far.
