Only stock length pushrods required unless the block gets decked or the heads milled.

they only costed $200 but they didn't leave the rockers on so i'll have to get some and the studs to mount them on but i'm cool with that...thanks for the pushrod info too fellas and they also have a few more stes for the same price

These heads use pedistal mount rockers just like all the other stock heads, so you can use the rocker assemblys off a regular 5.0 or 5.8 for example.

You should look for a set of 1.7 RRs instead of the stock rockers.

All 93,94 & 95 Cobra Mustangs which came stock with the GT-40 heads and Crane 1.7 RRs. You can sometime pick these up used for about $100 or less. Not sure what they go for new now? They just bolt on instead of the stock one.

Pedestal mount rockers bolt down, they don't require studs.

does anybody know the specific specs on gt40 heads? like intake/exhaust valve sizes, fort sizes, vave opening compacity and stuff like that? how much better will they flow than stock 80's 351w heads? thanks.

Good concise chart showing flow data. It would be interesting to see the "dogs" like the E6SE and D8OE etc. listed for comparison.
