Question about new timing set
Just got a Comp Cams Magnum 2121 timing set for my '72 400. I have the stock cam still in it. I bought it to compensate for the retarded factory timing
Which slot should the crank key be inserted to, and which mark should the dot on the cam sprocket line up with?

Set it strait up. How many keyways are in the crank gear? Either way, put it on the "0" mark if it's numbered. The dot on the cam gear should be at the 6 oclock mark lined up with the crank keyway at the 12 oclock mark with the number 1 cylinder at TDC.

The crank gear has 3 keyways: 4* retarded, 0, and 4* advanced.
