Axle Code 846, and a Trans Swap question
I've just been given an 86' Ranger... 2wd, 2.0L, TK4spd, reg. cab. The truck is in the weeds and I can't find an axle tag.
Can anyone tell me please what size axle it is and what gears are in it? Google is no help. If not, i'll wait until I can pull it out of the brush and do the spin the yoke, count the rotations thing.
Also, I have already looked into a turbocoupe 2.3t engine swap for this truck... but I don't know if the tk4 will bolt up. I want to eventually change over to a m5od 4x4 trans, but will the tk4 work for now? Would I have to change input shafts? Are the flywheels/clutches the same for a 2.0 and 2.3? Any input is appreciated.
