87 RANGER WITH (TK5 )
Hi I have question can I swap the speed TK5 transmission for new model 5 speed my transmission is making winding grinding sound I don't know if is the transmission or the clutch.
but if is the transmission can I swap with a newer model

The TK-5 is probably the best trans Ford put in any of the Rangers. Mine is an 87 with 240,000 miles on it and no problems.
For the last 20 K it has been growling with the trans in neutral and clutch released. The input shaft bearing will get replaced the next time I need to replace the clutch.

transmission from 87 ranger sigle cab to ext cab
Hi you'll I have a question I found on craigslist a 87 ford ranger regular cab long bed 2.9 manual 5 speed transmission
will this transmission fit the 87 ford ext cab same engine 2.9 manual transmission .
